Art and Design at Key Stage 3 level.

The Art and Design department at Key stage 3 level provides students with a wide range of opportunities to develop personal responses to ideas, observations, experiences, environments and cultures in practical, critical and contextual forms.

How many projects are there in one year?

Students will study three projects each year of key stage 3 level, one every term.

Year 7

  • Term 2: ‘It's all about ME'

Year 8

  • Term 1: ‘BUGS & BEASTS'
  • Term 2: ‘Objects'

Year 9

  • Term 1: ‘Other Cultures'
  • Term 2: ‘Manmade'

What type of Art & Design is studied at Key-Stage 3?

Students will be given the opportunity to work with a variety of different media, techniques and processes each year. This will include painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, textiles and some computer graphics.
