Provisional Exam Results

At Malbank School we are proud of every student's achievements and are delighted for all the young people who achieve success in public exams, whether they gain strings of top grades or more modest results that meet their "personal best". It is very rare for any student to leave Malbank without good qualifications, whatever his or her abilities.

At KS3 the results are consistently above the national average. We always set ourselves demanding targets without giving students impossible goals and the trend at Malbank is to increase the level of challenge having regard to students' abilities and prior achievements.

At KS4, 85% of our students achieved 5 A* - C% with 62% of them getting 5 A* - C including English and Maths.

Boys at Malbank defy the national trend and achieve as well as girls. Students with Special Education Nedds (SEN) and/or disabilities also progress well. In many GCSE subjects significant numbers of students reach the highest grade of A* and A. There were some outstanding personal and departmental results which are testament to the hard work of both staff and students

Malbank students and staff are celebrating a good 'A' level performance, with passes at A - C increasing from 64% in 2008 to well above 70% in 2011.

In addition 45% of grades achieved were As & Bs, a continuation of Malbank's upward trend. The overall pass rate was 98.1%

We regularly have students taking up their places at Oxford and Cambridge, with many more entering top degrees in medicine, dentistry, vetinary science and Law.
