The National Healthy School Standard (NHSS)

A healthy school promotes physical and emotional health by providing accessible and relevant information and equipping pupils with the skills and attitudes to make informed decisions about their health. It understands the importance of investing in health to assist in raising levels of pupil achievement and improving standards. It also recognises the need to provide both a physical and social environment that is conducive to learning.
Pupils and parents can support us by:-
- Helping us to raise funds on Green Day which we can put towards small school projects which enhance our learning environment
- Using our re-cycling bins in the classrooms (paper), on the yard (plastic bottles) and in front of school (for paper, glass, plastic bottles, tins and cans).
- Volunteer to help with gardening and landscape projects (see Mrs Walker)
- Putting all litter in the bins provided
- Abiding by Cheshire County Council's smoking ban
