IMPACT Community Arts Group

We regularly run Performing Arts events both in school and as part of our ongoing Community Arts Programme.  These have included Musical Evenings, Arts Workshops, hosting concerts for the Nantwich Words and Music Festival and our regular IMPACT Cinema nights.

As part of our desire to keep you up to date and informed about all these exciting opportunities, we have formed an IMPACT Community Group to help us develop this work further.

Membership of the group is completely free of charge, all we ask is for your valuable support and ideas.  In turn, we will send you regular updates and information on all of our activities.  This will enable us to develop our plans for the future that best fit the needs and requirements of our Community.

If you would like to be part of this exciting new venture, please complete the registration form and return it to the Performing Arts Office or alternatively email community@malbank.cheshire.sch.uk.  To keep costs to a minimum, we would appreciate if you could pass on your email address as this will be the best and most environmentally friendly means of contact.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Malbank IMPACT Book Club

As you may be aware, last year we established the IMPACT Community Group as a way of keeping people up-to-date with our Community Arts Programme here at Malbank. The group is completely free to join and members are regularly sent emails relating to our Cinema Nights and other Performing Arts related evenings. As part of this process we also asked about other arts related areas members would be interested in. One of the most popular responses has been to form a Book Club.

One of our regular events is the Impact Book Club which we run in partnership with Costa Coffee, Nantwich, who kindly provide us with the use of the store once a month, after it has closed to the public. Costa have also generously agreed to provide a member of staff for the evening so that we can purchase refreshments whilst we meet.

Our next meeting will take place on 1st May 2012, 7.00 – 8.30pm and we will be looking at Various Pets, Alive and Dead by Marina Lewycka, all are welcome.
