The IRC

Chatterbox was first introduced during 2009.  The idea came from just one parent who said that they would love to have some support from other parents/carers who sometimes felt like they were "the only ones" ...coping with the teenage years, living with a child with autism, who's child struggled with homework, for example.

Since then we have gone from strength to strength.  We now run family sessions every Friday afternoon 1.30pm to 3.pm.  Any family is welcome to come along and join in.  Our mission is to support YOU...

The programme of sessions is devised to help, inform, share experiences, and quite often-to have FUN!!!  Each week we have something different on offer, so that people can ‘dip in and out' of Chatterbox to fit with their busy lives and of course to help when it is needed.

We have done all kinds of things from Masterchef to Maths Lessons, from Reindeer Crafts to a Residential-indeed we are proud to have 3 weekend family residentials under our belts now.  We have been to Lego Land Windsor and to the Conwy Centre in Menai.

Im sure you can see from the photos, just how much we have been up to.

For more information about Chatterbox, and our Inclusion Provision, contact Kate Carter, Inclusion Centre Manager, at the school on 01270 611009, or join us any Friday afternoon at Chatterbox.  Please sign in at Reception.  We look forward to meeting you soon.
