Lord of the Rings / Warhammer

This club meets on Wednesdays after school , from 3.30p.m to 5.00p.m. There is a 50p charge, but you get a free drink and crisps. Bring your own models, or use the Library Lord of the Rings models, and learn to battle.

There are three painted and modelled landscapes, and everyone is welcome from beginner to expert! There are also a limited number of paints and brushes, for those who want to paint their models.

Languages Club

This club meets on Mondays after school , from 3.30 p.m. - 4.15 p.m. It is run in conjunction with the MFL Department and you are able to have fun while practising your French, Spanish or German. We play board games such as 'Monopoly' and 'Cluedo' in the foreign languages and pupils can also try out computer games in French or Spanish.

The club is free to attend. Why not come along to improve your languages skills and have fun?

'Doctor Who' Club

This club meets on Thursdays after school, from 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Pupils come along to get the latest news about the programme, watch episodes from both the new and classic series and discuss the range of related novels which are very popular in the library.

Can you name all ten Doctors? Would you like to find out more about the aliens the Doctor has encountered across time and space? This club is free to attend - everyone is welcome.

Chess Tournament

Chess is very popular among many pupils who come to the library at break and lunchtime, so the termly Chess Tournament has been a natural development.

Eighteen players from across the whole age-range try out their tactical skills against each other in the hope of becoming Malbank Chess Champion.
