APPLIED "A" LEVELS
 

Business Studies

The Applied "A" Level Business course enables students to have an insight into the subject at a practical level, so team work and good communication skills will be developed along with problem solving. There are three units of work in the first year which include investigating a business which is done through running a company in College; Looking at people in business and covers the whole recruitment process as well as staff development; Financial monitoring and planning.

Health and Social Care

This subject is offered as both a single and a double award. It covers a variety of areas concerned in the health and social care services including the role of common diseases and disorders and psychological aspects of care. Especially useful for careers in nursing, social work, early years education.

This course develops an understanding of the use of I.T. in the fields of hardware and software. Taught on-line with a series of supported tutorial sessions.

Performing Arts

The Performing Arts industry is one of the biggest and fastest growing industries in the country. It employs over 1 million people from top artists to technicians to support staff. Performing Arts is an exciting new vocational course which aims to give you an insight into this business and provide you with a qualification which will set you off on a career path in the Performing Arts either as an actual performer or more behind the scenes.
