Malbank Sixth Form College aims to provide a pre- university experience and in the spirit of a modern university we reserve Wednesday afternoons for you to take part in a wide variety of extra-curricular events.
The aims of this enrichment programme are to provide you with fun, a chance to unwind from your studies and an opportunity to enhance your CV.
Recent or planned courses include:- Work experience in a local Primary School, Dance, Sixth Form magazine, Tai Chi, Young Enterprise, XL Club, First Aid, Sport and recreation and many more!
YEAR 12 ADVENTURE TRIP
The two day programme is run by Outlook Expeditions who are leading providers of quality outdoor adventure activities such as: Hill Walking and Mountaineering, Water Based Activity, Climbing and Abseiling, Mountain biking and Camping.
BUSINESS DYNAMICS DAY
Enhance your business knowledge with our two day conference with local business experts this will provide you with production, management and presentational skills throughout a series of workshops.
BARNARDOS
Malbank Sixth Form work very closely with Barnardo's Children's charity. Every year we have a "Barnardo's Day" where fancy dress always provides a fun way to raise money.MORE >>
INTERNATIONAL LINKS -FREEWAY
The Sixth Form are a member of the Freeway International Magazine. We regularly publish articles on the web with our partner schools in Spain , Italy , Bulgaria and Sweden.MORE >>
THE STUDENT COUNCIL
The student council provides the opportunity for students to forward their opinions on any pressing issues which may affect them and to organise fun events. One of their more important events to organise is the Sixth Form Leaver's Ball.
RECORDING STUDIO
Our very own state of the art recording studio boasts professional digital Apple Mac pro- tools. This is available for student and community use and is a must for bands who want to be taken seriously!
SPORTING CHALLENGE
The lunch time leagues are a popular sight on the playing fields of Malbank. We have a strong 5 -a -side football league and Cricket every summer.
