National CANSAT Final

Year 10 Students Shine in National CANSAT Final
We are incredibly proud of our Year 10 team, The Sat-Elites, who represented our school in the national final of the prestigious CANSAT UK competition. Out of approximately 300 teams from across the country, only 9 made it through to the final stage — a remarkable achievement in itself.
After months of dedication and teamwork, The Sat-Elites successfully designed, built, and launched a mini satellite, impressing judges with their scientific skill and innovative thinking.
In recognition of their outstanding efforts, the students have also been awarded the Industrial Cadets Gold Award by the Engineering Development Trust — a nationally respected honour celebrating high levels of achievement in STEM.
“I’m so proud of what our students have achieved,” said Mr Brown, their teacher. “They overcame every challenge thrown at them with resilience and ingenuity, and truly demonstrated what young scientists are capable of.”
Congratulations to the whole team on this outstanding accomplishment — a true testament to their hard work and passion for STEM!
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be entering the CANSAT competition again in 2025, and recruitment for next year’s team will begin shortly. Watch this space!
