Climbing Mount Kenya

During the summer holidays Mara Nightingale Year 11 spent her time away with her family in Kenya. She took part in many different activities, such as water skiing, horse riding and scuba diving. However, her biggest achievement was climbing Mount Kenya. She did this in a total climb time of 23 hours, reaching the summit Lenana which is 4985 meters above sea level. This was a gruelling climb and Mara had to overcome altitude sickness. We were incredibly proud of her determination and achievement. Well done Mara.
