From the moment the curtain rose until the final applause, the audience thoroughly enjoyed a performance that highlighted the commitment, dedication and talent of everyone involved.
The cast delivered outstanding performances, with students bringing their characters to life through confident, expressive, and engaging performances. The singers impressed with their powerful vocals, blending beautifully in both solo and ensemble numbers, while the dancers added energy, and excitement with polished choreography.
The live band deserves special recognition for providing musical accompaniment throughout the show.
The show reflected the hard work of the students, staff, and backstage crew.
The highlight was the spirit of collaboration and teamwork. Singers, dancers, actors, musicians, and the technical team combined their talents to produce a truly memorable evening of entertainment. The enthusiasm, commitment, and passion for the performing arts were evident in every aspect of the show.
This was a production of the highest standard and a credit to the entire school community. Everyone involved should be immensely proud of what they achieved. It was an inspiring, uplifting, and thoroughly entertaining performance that will be remembered for a long time. Well done to all involved.

Athletics Champions
Published 03/07/26This week Malbank competed in the South Cheshire Athletics Competition. The Town Sports competition returned to the Cumberland Arena in Crewe, and our goal was simple: to enter every event and compete to the best of our ability. Our incredible students went one step further—they won the entire competition for the first time in the school’s history!
We competed against Alsager, Brine Leas, Holmes Chapel, Ruskin, Sandbach Boys, Sandbach Girls, Shavington, Sir William Stanier, St Thomas More and The Oaks, making this achievement even more impressive.
We are all incredibly proud of every student who represented the school today. All the students have achieved something monumental. Every one of them was a credit to the school through their attitude, behaviour and determination.
"Having taught for nearly 20 years, I can honestly say I have never come across a nicer group of students. They fully deserve every bit of praise and recognition that comes their way. They have been outstanding ambassadors for our school, and we couldn't be prouder of them." (Mr Smithson)

The Highs and Lows of Football
Published 13/05/26Firstly, we are incredibly proud of everyone involved this evening. Reaching Finals Night with three teams is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the hard work, commitment, and dedication shown throughout the season.
What a night it was.
The Year 7 Boys started the evening in outstanding fashion with a superb 2–1 victory over Congleton to become Cheshire Champions. Noah scored both goals in a brilliant team performance.
The Year 8 boys were heartbreakingly denied after leading 2–1 with only minutes remaining. Congleton managed to equalise before scoring the winner straight from the restart. The boys gave everything and worked incredibly hard to put themselves in a winning position, making the result even tougher to take. Our goals were scored by Nathan and George D.
Finally, the Year 9 Boys were beaten 4–1 by a very strong Shavington side, with Evan scoring our consolation goal.
A huge thank you to all the parents who came along to support the teams, and to Mr Kilalee, Mr Lloyd, Mr Allcroft, and Mrs Kirk-Bradshaw for managing the sides throughout the evening.
We go again next season.
