Janine Edwards was born in Dorset and moved to Northwich whilst she was in Primary School.  She attended Hartford High School and then studied for her A-Levels at Sir John Deane’s College.  Janine completed her degree in Biological Sciences at The University of Sheffield, her PGCE at Manchester Metropolitan University and completed her National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) whilst at Malbank through Edgehill University. Janine is also a Senior Leader in Education (SLE). (Click Photo for more details)

Janine successfully applied for her first teaching role at Malbank School as a Teacher of Science in 1998.  22 years later, after a number of roles in the pastoral team, Janine is now an Assistant Head at the school with responsibility for the curriculum and is the schools Designated Safeguarding Lead.  She is also leader of the Brereton bear House. Janine is passionate about supporting all Malbank students to be the best that they can be and much to her delight (and sometimes dismay!) is now seeing children of her past pupils thriving at our school.

Malbank has seen Janine get married and go on to have 2 boys who are now both teenagers.  As a busy working mum, she spends most of her free time transporting and supporting her boys who are both football mad.  Janine loves going on sunshine holidays and enjoys her annual visits to Lanzarote.
